The Fort Gordon CUS (FG-CUS) Implementation is a collaborative planning effort among the Central Savannah River Area Regional Commission (CSRA-RC) — the local project sponsor — the Cities of Blythe, Hephzibah, Grovetown, and Harlem; the counties of Augusta-Richmond, Burke, Columbia, Jefferson, and McDuffie; state and federal agencies; the Department of Defense; the public and other local and regional stakeholders. The purpose of FG-CUS is to implement key recommendations from the 2019 Fort Gordon / Central Savannah River Area Joint Land Use Study to prevent encroachment, improve agency communication and determine extent of nighttime artificial illumination. This project is funded by a grant from the Department of Defense (DOD), Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation (OLDCC).
As the study evolves, this website will be your primary access point for all project-related materials and event information.
Materials will be posted in the Document Library under the Resources tab after the Public Open House on November 10, 2022.
